How WowMake LLC collects, uses, shares, protects, retains, and deletes personal information — including Google user data when you choose Sign in with Google.

Last updated

WowMake LLC (“WowMake,” “we,” “us”) operates the web application at wowmake.com (stories feed, print-on-demand shop, Maker Hub, and related services). This Privacy Policy is the privacy disclosure for that application and brand. It explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, with whom we share it, how we protect it, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it. If you use optional Sign in with Google, this Policy also describes how we access, use, store, and share Google user data in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy (including Limited Use).

1. Who we are

Controller: WowMake LLC, 30 N Gould St N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. Contact for privacy requests: [email protected].

This Policy applies to wowmake.com and related WowMake product surfaces that link to it. It is not a template or sample policy; it describes WowMake’s actual practices.

2. Information we collect

WowMake collects personal information you provide, information created when you use the service, and limited information from identity providers when you choose social sign-in. Categories include:

  • Account data: name, email, password hash (email sign-up), locale, and profile preferences.
  • Identity-provider data (optional): when you use Google or Facebook sign-in, the provider identifier, email, name, and (for Facebook) profile photo URL as described in the Google and Facebook sections below.
  • Creator data: display name, bio, avatar, designs, videos, storyboards, and payout details you provide.
  • Order data: shipping address, phone number, items purchased, and payment status (card details are processed by payment partners; we do not store full card numbers).
  • Usage data: pages viewed, clicks, device/browser type, approximate location from IP, and referral URLs.
  • Video & feed interaction data: watch time, scroll behavior, play progress, and engagement signals used to improve recommendations and product quality.
  • Communications: support messages, newsletter subscriptions, and security alerts you receive.
  • Cookies & local storage: We use only essential cookies and browser storage — session tokens, cart state, locale preference, and design drafts. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. No third-party advertising or tracking scripts run on WowMake.
  • Local device storage: design drafts may be cached in your browser (IndexedDB) before you save to your account.
  • Cloud storage: digital assets and account records are stored using Cloudflare R2, Cloudflare Stream, and PostgreSQL databases operated by WowMake and its infrastructure providers.

3. Google user data we access (Sign in with Google)

WowMake offers optional Sign in with Google so you can create or access a WowMake account without a separate password. This is an optional authentication method; you can also register with email. Guests may browse public stories and the shop without signing in.

If you choose Sign in with Google, WowMake’s Google OAuth client requests basic OpenID Connect / profile scopes only. We receive and store the following Google user data with your WowMake customer account:

  • Google account identifier (OpenID “sub”) — used only to recognize the same Google user on later sign-ins.
  • Email address — used as your WowMake account email for transactional messages and account recovery.
  • Name — used as the default display name on your WowMake profile until you change it.

We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, Contacts, Calendar, or other Google content APIs for sign-in. We do not access Google user content beyond the basic profile fields listed above.

4. How we use Google user data

We use Google user data solely to provide and improve WowMake’s user-facing account features:

  • Authenticate you and create or link a WowMake account.
  • Keep you signed in to wowmake.com.
  • Show your name on your WowMake profile until you edit it.
  • Send account-related transactional email (for example security or order notices) to the email address Google provided.

We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, personalized ads, interest-based ads, credit decisions, lending, or data-broker sales. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models. We do not use Google APIs or Google user data to create, request, or distribute AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery (AI NCII).

Google API Services User Data Policy: WowMake’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. How we share, transfer, or disclose Google user data

We do not transfer or disclose Google user data to third parties for purposes other than operating WowMake, except as follows:

  • Infrastructure processors under contract that host our databases and application (for example Cloudflare and our PostgreSQL provider), solely to store and serve your WowMake account.
  • When required by law, to protect safety or platform integrity, or with your direction.
  • In a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice where required, and only to continue operating WowMake.

We do not share Google user data with advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers. We do not allow humans to read Google user data except (a) with your consent, (b) for security, abuse, or legal reasons, or (c) where data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

6. Facebook account sign-in

If you choose Continue with Facebook, WowMake receives the following from Facebook and stores it with your WowMake account:

  • Your Facebook user identifier.
  • Your email address, when Facebook provides it.
  • Your name.
  • Your Facebook profile photo URL, when Facebook provides it.

We use this information only to recognize you and to create or sign you in to a WowMake account. We do not sell information received from Facebook. We do not post to Facebook on your behalf, and we do not use Facebook data to advertise to you.

How to request deletion of this data: delete your WowMake account from Account → Security & privacy, or email [email protected]. When you delete your WowMake account, we delete the Facebook identifier, name, email, and profile photo URL we stored from Facebook.

You can also disconnect WowMake from Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications.

7. How we use other information

  • Provide, secure, and improve the marketplace, Maker Hub, Stories feed, and checkout experience.
  • Fulfill orders, calculate commissions, and process payouts.
  • Send transactional email (orders, security, payout notices) via providers such as Resend.
  • Send optional marketing email from news.wowmake.com via our email platform (Brevo) when you opt in.
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and policy violations; enforce Terms and content standards.
  • Comply with law, tax, and accounting obligations.

8. When we share other information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to operate the service:

  • Service providers who help us complete orders, shipping, and customer support.
  • Payment processors to authorize charges and refunds.
  • Cloud hosting, email, and customer-support vendors under contractual safeguards.
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and platform integrity.
  • Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale with notice where required.

9. AI features and providers (separate from Google Sign-In)

Some WowMake features use artificial-intelligence services run by other companies. When you use one of these features, the content that feature needs (for example a prompt or an image you upload) is sent to that provider to produce the result. Google Sign-In profile fields (sub, email, name) are not sent to AI providers for model training or generative intimate imagery.

We do not use your content to train WowMake’s own AI models. We do not use Google user data from Sign-In to train AI or ML models. WowMake does not offer or allow use of Google APIs for AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery (AI NCII).

The features and the providers they use:

  • Story narration (text to speech): the narration text — OpenAI; Google Cloud Text-to-Speech.
  • Voice-over transcription: audio you record for a story — OpenAI.
  • AI artwork and product photos: your prompt and any reference image you provide — OpenAI.
  • Search and recommendations: product and story titles, descriptions, tags, and product images — OpenAI; Hugging Face.
  • Story topic tagging: story titles, descriptions, and captions — OpenAI or OpenRouter.
  • Chat assistant: the messages you send to the assistant — OpenRouter, which passes them to the model provider shown in the assistant.
  • Safety review of uploads, reviews, and comments: the image or text being reviewed — OpenAI.
  • Support and operations: when our staff use an AI assistant to handle a support request or review an order, the relevant message or order content may be processed by the assistant’s provider — OpenAI.

We list the providers we have enabled and update this list before a new provider starts receiving your content. We send a provider only what a feature needs. Each provider handles that content under its own terms, and we do not control whether a provider uses it to improve its models.

Your own AI key: some features let you use your own AI provider account. Your key is kept only in your browser on your device. When you use it, it passes through our servers for that single request and is never stored by WowMake. The provider’s own terms apply to that use.

Connected AI assistants: if you connect an AI assistant (for example through our MCP server or a personal access token), it can see and do only what you allowed when you connected it. What the assistant does with that information is governed by its provider. You can disconnect it at any time in Account → Security → Connected apps & agents.

AI-generated or AI-assisted media may be labeled as such where the law or platform policy requires.

10. Retention, deletion, and security

Retention: We store personal information, including Google user data on your account, for as long as your WowMake account is active and as needed to fulfill the purposes in this Policy (including legal, tax, dispute, and security obligations). When a retention period expires for a given type of data, we delete or destroy it, or anonymize it so it can no longer identify you.

Deletion — Google user data and your account: You may request deletion of your WowMake account (and the Google fields stored on it: sub, email, name) from Account → Security & privacy, or by emailing [email protected]. After we verify the request, we delete or irreversibly anonymize account personal data except records we must keep by law (for example completed order invoices). You may also revoke WowMake’s access to your Google Account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions — that stops future Google sign-ins; use the WowMake deletion steps above to remove data we already stored.

Security: We apply administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the data we process, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls on production systems, and contractual safeguards with infrastructure processors. Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. Your choices & rights

  • Update profile information in your account settings.
  • Manage marketing email preferences in Account → Security & privacy, or unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter.
  • Download a copy of your account data or request account deletion from Account → Security & privacy.
  • Email [email protected] to exercise access, correction, or deletion rights under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
  • Disable non-essential cookies in your browser; essential cookies may still be required for login and checkout.

12. Children (COPPA)

WowMake is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in violation of the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Sign in with Google is optional and not required to browse public content. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

13. International users

If you access WowMake from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where we or our vendors operate, which may have different data-protection laws.
